Thousands of clock change supporters emailed Sir George to ask for more time for the Daylight Saving Bill and to express anger at the way a certain number of MPs behaved during the report stage debate.
Unfortunately, even though Sir George praised the bill and the strength of feeling he'd seen in his inbox, he said he saw "no practical way" of giving the bill more time.
